I tried a search, but the search function doesn't seem to be working.

Saturday night my buddy missed a hog because the safety had gotten bumped ON on his 450 Marlin. He said "now I know why you don't like those safeties!"

What is the best "bolt on" way to eliminate the Marlin's safety?

Thanks

You can take the butt off, push the safety to the off position and tighten the allen head set screw down so that it won't move. You can put an appropriate size o-ring on to hold it in the off position. You can get the Ludwig replacement and install that.

Sincerely,

Hobie

Thanks Hobie, I knew someone would have the answer.

My Marlins are carefully selected to be PRE-safety models ... LOL
