The little gun with the scope belonged to Hal Swiggett and was one of his early "story" guns.

Which video are you talking about? There are 4 of them available to download.

If it doesn't run for you try RIGHT CLICKING on it and choose "Save Target As" .... save it to your desktop and run it.

Thank you Jim, looks like a great time was had by all. I especially enjoy the pictures of the youth, great shooting form. I think kids raised around guns just seem to be more responsible in general, and more mature overall.

"A very famous handgun"

Jim,

Yes, it is. Who is the worthy gentleman who is the keeper of this piece of history? I won't ask who the "owner" is....regardless who is the current holder, Rev. Hal Swiggett will always be the owner. I know I won't like the answer, but I am afraid I must ask: How is Mr. Swiggett doing?

from Jeff Quinn:

The current owner is not worthy of such, but I am he. Mr. Swigget is old, and I understand that his health is not very good.

When I was a kid, I read everything that that man wrote. I liked his stuff better than most writers. Mr. Swiggett wrote about things that I could do, and guns that I could shoot. Instead of writing about hunting Africa with an English double, he wrote of squirrel hunting with a Mossberg Plinkster, or groundhog hunting with a Chuckster. I could do those things, and did.

When I read about his Charter Packet Target revolver with the little Hutson scope, I wanted one badly! I looked for years for a good three-inch Pathfinder, but never found one. I also never laid my eyes on one of the little scopes.

I still have that magazine with the Charter on the cover, and am honored to be the current owner of Mr. Swigget's little gun.

As to Bro. Swiggett's health, Alas, he is not doing well at the last report I had. He has Alzheimer's orsome form of dementia anyway .. and has lost most if not all of his memory.

I cherish the times I spent with him.
